Dr. Milaat received his PhD in community medicine from Dundee University, Dundee Scotland UK, MPH in maternal and child health care from school of Public Health Tulane University Louisiana USA, and his Fellowship of the Faculty Public Health of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom. Dr. Milaat represented the department and the faculty in various local, regional, national and international committees related to public health and community medicine issues. He was the founder Dean for the college of medicine in Jizan. He served as a member in the KAU Scientific Counsel, and advisor for the WHO in infectious diseases.
